Described as the closest thing
to Natural Sunlight, the innovative Chromalux reptile light represents a major step
forward in lighting
technology. Originally designed in Finland for people who suffer from stress caused by
minimal daylight hours in winter, Chromalux lights are made of a special composition glass
that is no colored or coated, but instead contained a rare earth element (Neodymium) used
in lasers. This earth element is able to absorb yellow and other dulling components of the
spectrum, resulting in crisp and more vibrant colors.
Chromalux enhances the colors and skin textures of reptiles making pet
keeping and showing a most enjoyable experience! Thanks to this modified color spectrum,
Chromalux provides reptiles in captivity with a bright light and heat source that closely
mimics the spectrum of Natural Sunlight (infrared, visible spectrum and beneficial
U.V.A.
rays.) Pet reptiles will love basking in the gentle warmth generated by a Chromalux light
beam, just as they would in the sun!
Manufactured in Europe to the highest standard, Chromalux is long life (3,500 hours

With the
highest coloring rendering index in the world of 98, and a color temperature of 6500 k,
Lumichrome 1XX fluorescent provides reptiles with pure white illumination that closely
simulates Natural Sunlight. Lumichrome Full Spectrum Plus emits beneficial ultraviolet
rays in the 290 to 400 nanometer range (U.V.A. + U.V.B.) and is the one one on the market
today to provide 10% U.V.B. output at 310 nm and 50% at 360 nm(U.V.A.), and to maintain
most of this output throughout the life of the lamp. Lumichrome 1XX is breeders' best
choice for promoting vitamin D3 synthesis and enhancing calcium absorption in captive
reptiles.
Lumichrome Full Spectrum Plus is manufactured in Europe in the newest T8 technology, and
saves 30 to 40% energy compared to traditional T12 fluorescent lamps (consumes 32W instead
of 40W, 18W instead of 20W, etc). Long life, Lumichrome 1XX has an average rated life of
20,000 hours and can be installed in electronic ballasts fixtures or in existing hoods
with starters. Lumichrome 1XX Full Spectrum Plus is available in standard sizes and
